JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Applications are invited from eligible candidates domiciled in Sindh Province for appointment in the Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC), Government of Sindh. The appointments will be made on a contract/contributory pension scheme basis as per the rules and requirements for the following positions:

1. Director (Strategic Planning) – BPS-19

Number of Posts: 01

Qualification & Experience:

• Master’s Degree (18 years of education) in any discipline with at least Second Division from a university/institution recognized by HEC Pakistan.

• Minimum 12 years of relevant professional and research experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or management role in a recognized research organization, think tank, university, or government institution.

• International exposure or collaboration with global think tanks (e.g., RAND Corporation) will be preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong leadership, policy analysis, and research management skills.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office, data analysis tools, and digital collaboration platforms.

• Ability to develop partnerships with academia, government, and international stakeholders.

Age Limit: Up to 45 years

2. Deputy Director (Strategic Planning) – BPS-18

Number of Posts: 02

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (16 years of education) in any discipline with at least Second Division or equivalent from an HEC-recognized institution.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in BPS-17 or equivalent in research, academic management, policymaking, HR, or supervisory capacity under Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous bodies or a reputable organization.

• Publications in reputed journals or policy papers will be preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

• Advanced research and analytical skills.

• Strong coordination and team management capabilities.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in MS Office.

Age Limit: Up to 40 years

3. Assistant Director (Strategic Planning) – BPS-17

Number of Posts: 02

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (16 years of education) in any discipline with at least Second Division or equivalent from an HEC-recognized institution.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in research, academic, or policy-related work under Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous bodies or a reputable organization.

Skills & Competencies:

• Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills.

• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Office and statistical software.

• Strong teamwork and coordination abilities.

Age Limit: Up to 30 years

4. Data Analyst – BPS-17

Number of Posts: 02

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (16 years of education) in Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or equivalent from an HEC-recognized institution.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in data analysis, visualization, or research support under Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous bodies or a reputable organization.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong command of statistical tools such as SPSS, STATA, R, or Python.

• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization software.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work effectively with large datasets.

Age Limit: Up to 30 years

2. Written Test Fee:
   Candidates who meet eligibility criteria and are shortlisted for the written test must pay a test fee of Rs. 1,000/- for each post. Payment mode will be communicated through the test call letter.

3. Age Relaxation:
   Relaxation in the upper age limit will be granted as per Government of Sindh policy.

4. Posting Location:
   Selected candidates will be posted at Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC), Karachi.

5. Government Employees:
   Applicants already in government service should apply through proper channel.

6. Right to Modify:
   Sindh HEC reserves the right to increase, decrease, or withdraw any of the advertised posts.

7. Disqualification:
   Canvassing in any form will result in disqualification.

8. Application Deadline:
