The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan is seeking qualified professionals for various ICT and technical positions. The positions are open for meritorious candidates with relevant qualifications and experience.

Minimum 15 years experience, including 10 years in ICT, with 5 years managing nationwide networks (e.g., research network, NREN). Expertise in network design/architecture (DWDM/MPLS) and coordination with international research organizations required.
2 Director (Information Security) BPS-19, Max 50 yrs 01 Merit Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software/System or Telecommunication Engineering. Minimum 8 years of experience in cybersecurity, including 3+ years in leadership. Experience with SOC operations, risk management, penetration testing, IAM, firewalls, and SIEM systems.
3 Deputy Director (System Analyst) BPS-18, Max 45 yrs 01 Merit Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, System Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent. Minimum 5 years experience in system analysis, design, requirements gathering, BPR, system documentation, and data modeling.
4 Assistant Director (System/Cloud) BPS-17, Max 35 yrs 01 Merit Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cloud Computing, IT, Software/System Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 2 years experience in cloud/virtualization environments. Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, DevOps.
5 Assistant Director (Storage) BPS-17, Max 35 yrs 01 Merit Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Systems, IT, Data Engineering, IT Infrastructure, or equivalent. Minimum 2 years experience in enterprise storage and backup systems. Knowledge of SAN/NAS, storage virtualization, backup automation, and performance tuning.
6 Assistant Director (Backup) BPS-17, Max 35 yrs 01 Merit Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Systems, IT, Software/System Engineering, or equivalent. Minimum 2 years experience in enterprise backup systems, automation tools, retention policies, and data restoration.
7 LAN Administrator BPS-16, Max 35 yrs 01 Merit Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Networking. Minimum 1 year experience in LAN/WAN maintenance and support. Skills in Cisco/Huawei routing, VLAN configuration, structured cabling, NOC monitoring.

  • Master’s degree = 16 years of education.

  • Experience refers to post-qualification experience only.
