Project Staff Required

The Government of Pakistan through the Ministry of Water Resources Pakistan has approved a project titled “Umbrella PC-4 of FPSP-II” with a total cost of Rs. 194.625 billion on 27 June 2023.

The project is part of Phase-I of the updated 4th National Flood Protection Plan (NFPP-V). To manage and monitor the implementation of this program, a Project Coordination & Management Unit (PCMU) has been established in the Office of the Federal Flood Commission Pakistan.

Applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates for the following project-based positions.

1. Deputy Project Director (PPS-09)

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (preferably Master’s in Water Resources Engineering).

Experience

• Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience in water resources planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of water sector projects.

Age Limit

• Maximum 55 years

2. Junior Engineer – Civil (PPS-07)

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Water Resources Engineering / Irrigation Engineering from a recognized university.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years experience in planning, execution, design engineering, and construction supervision.

Age Limit

• Maximum 45 years

3. Procurement Specialist (PPS-07)

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration / Engineering with certification in Procurement.

Experience

• Relevant professional experience in procurement processes and management.

4. Hydraulic Design Expert (PPS-08)

Qualification

• Master’s degree in Engineering with specialization in Hydraulic Design.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years post-qualification experience in hydraulic engineering and design.

Age Limit

• Maximum 55 years

5. GIS / Remote Sensing Expert (PPS-09)

Qualification

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:

  • GIS / Remote Sensing

  • Geomatics

  • Geography

  • Geoinformatics

Experience

• Relevant experience in GIS mapping and remote sensing data analysis.

Age Limit

• Maximum 55 years

6. Hydrological Modeling Expert (PPS-08)

Qualification

• Master’s degree in Hydrology or Water Resources Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years experience in flood modeling and hydrological analysis.

7. Accounts Officer (PPS-07)

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in:

  • Accounting

  • Finance

  • Business Administration

  • or related field

Experience

• Relevant experience in accounts management and financial administration.

8. Admin Officer (PPS-07)

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in:

  • Business Administration

  • Public Administration

  • LLB

Experience

• Minimum 1 year administrative experience.

9. Audit Officer (PPS-06)

Qualification

• BBA / B.Com or equivalent qualification.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in auditing.

10. Computer Operators (PPS-06)

Qualification

• BBA / BS / equivalent qualification.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years experience in computer operations.

11. Drivers (PPS-04)

Qualification

• Middle pass

Experience

• Valid driving license with 2 years driving experience.

12. Naib Qasid (PPS-01)

Qualification

• Primary pass

Skills

• Basic knowledge of office routine work.

• Basic knowledge of cleaning and sanitation duties.

2. General Terms and Conditions

• Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria mentioned for each position.

• Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview.

• Remuneration will be according to PPS rules approved by the Finance Division.

• Appointments will be contract-based for two years, extendable depending on performance.

• Interviews/tests will be conducted in Islamabad only.

• No TA/DA will be admissible for the test/interview.
