Position Available

PMDFC is actively supporting local governments in developing sustainable infrastructure and healthy urban environments. The organization is seeking a qualified, experienced, and dynamic professional for its upcoming program.

Available Position

Deputy Program Officer (Occupational Health & Safety – OHS)

  • No. of Posts: 01
  • Location: Lahore
  • Maximum Age Limit: 45 years

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor’s (4 years) / Master’s or higher degree in:
    • Environmental Engineering
    • Environmental Sciences
    • Occupational Health & Safety
    • Or related fields (from HEC-recognized institutions)
  • Additional Certifications (Preferred):
    • NEBOSH IGC
    • ISO 45001 Lead Auditor

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in infrastructure projects
  • Experience in donor-funded programs (e.g., World Bank, ADB) will be an advantage

Key Competencies:

  • Implementation and monitoring of Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) systems
  • Development and execution of OHS management plans
  • Conducting:
    • Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA)
    • Safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
  • Expertise in:
    • Incident investigation
    • Root cause analysis
    • Corrective and preventive action planning
  • Ensuring compliance with national and international safety regulations
  • Training and capacity building for:
    • Staff
    • Contractors
    • Workers (PPE usage, emergency response, safe practices)
  • Strong understanding of World Bank Environmental & Social Framework (ESF)
  • Ability to prepare:
    • Monitoring reports
    • Compliance checklists
    • Performance review matrices
  • Effective coordination with contractors, consultants, and local authorities
