Communication and Works Department KPK:

The Communication and Works Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was established in 1903 with the name of Public Works Department. It has responsibilities such as: Monitoring and Managing the construction, equipment, maintenance, repairs internal electrification and fixation of rent all Governmental buildings, residential and non-residential, including tents, bungalows and circuit houses except for those entrusted to Establishment & Administration Department, overseeing the availability for accommodation for Federal and Provincial Government servants in the province except that entrusted to Establishment & Administration Department, Doing construction, maintenance and repairs of roads, bridges, ferries, tunnels, rope-ways, causeways and tram-ways lines and several others. Over 100 years of its establishment, the department has achieved many milestones and completed thousands of projects related to roads and buildings. The department is consisted of an extensive work force, teams of engineers, technicians, HR officials and labors.
