ADVERTISEMENT FOR CONTRACT APPOINTMENTS

Under the development project titled:

“Strengthening of the Communication & Works Department to Meet the Shortage”
(Development Scheme for Roads and Public Works),

applications are invited for contract-based appointments to meet departmental requirements in various engineering and technical cadres of the Communication & Works Department, Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

DETAILS OF POSTS

Engineering & Technical Positions

Qualification Requirements:

  • Diploma in the relevant discipline of Engineering, obtained after completing a minimum three (03) years course from the Punjab Board of Technical Education or any other recognized Board of Technical Education in Pakistan, or an equivalent qualification.

  • 2–3 years Certificate or Diploma in Draftsmanship / Overseer Course (Engineering) or a higher qualification from a recognized university or institute.

  • Candidates possessing Computer Science / Computer Engineering degrees from a recognized university with relevant experience will be preferred.

  • Candidates having at least five (05) years of professional experience in the relevant field will be given preference.

AGE LIMIT

  • Age limits shall be as prescribed under the relevant service rules, generally ranging between 17 to 35 years, depending on the post.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. These appointments shall be made on a purely contract basis under the approved development scheme.

  2. Applications must be submitted to the Communication & Works Department, Muzaffarabad, on or before 17 February 2026, during official working hours.

  3. Only short-listed candidates will be called for test/interview. Separate call letters will be issued for this purpose.

  4. Applicants must attach attested copies of:

    • Educational certificates

    • Diplomas

    • Experience certificates

    • CNIC

  5. Applications written on plain paper will also be acceptable, provided all required documents are attached.

  6. In-service candidates must apply through proper channel.

  7. The competent authority reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
