Applications are invited from eligible candidates domiciled in Punjab for recruitment on a contract basis under the development project titled:

“Revamping of Agricultural Research in Punjab (2025–26 to 2027–28)”
under the Chief Scientist Agriculture (Research), AARI, Faisalabad.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & ELIGIBILITY

1. Chief Technical Advisor / Project Director (PPS-12)

Qualification:

• PhD in Agricultural Sciences

Experience & Expertise:

• Minimum 25 years of research experience

• At least 10 years of administrative experience

• 10 or more HEC-recognized research publications

• Candidates with foreign research/administrative experience will be preferred

2. Research Associate (Genomic Selection) – PPS-09

Qualification:

• PhD in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Agricultural Biotechnology
  OR

• MSc (Hons) in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Agricultural Biotechnology

Experience & Expertise:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in genome editing / genetic engineering

• At least 5 HEC-recognized research publications

• Preference will be given to candidates with foreign experience

3. Research Associate (Germplasm) – PPS-09

Qualification:

• PhD in Plant Breeding & Genetics (PBG)
  OR

• MSc (Hons) in Plant Breeding & Genetics

Experience & Expertise:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the relevant field

• At least 5 HEC-recognized research publications

• Candidates with foreign experience will be preferred

4. Finance Expert – PPS-08

Qualification:

• MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification

Experience & Expertise:

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant professional experience

IMPORTANT NOTES & TERMS

1. No relaxation in the upper age limit is admissible.

2. Candidates possessing other relevant degrees must provide an equivalence certificate issued by HEC or the competent forum.

3. All appointments are purely contract-based, temporary, non-transferable, non-pensionable, job/post specific, and do not confer any right of regularization.

4. Initial contract period will be one (01) year, extendable up to the project duration subject to satisfactory performance and approval of the competent authority.

5. In case of reduction or enhancement of the project period, the contract appointment shall be amended accordingly.

6. Recruitment shall be made strictly on merit, on all-Punjab basis, in accordance with the criteria approved in the PC-I.

7. No TA/DA shall be admissible for test or interview.

8. No post falls under the quota reserved for Women, Minorities, or Disabled Persons.

9. Selected candidates shall not be entitled to pay protection or regularization.
