To further strengthen its governance and assurance framework, CPPA-G is seeking an accomplished and highly credible professional for the position of Chief Internal Auditor. This is a key senior role, offering the opportunity to provide independent assurance and strategic insight to the Board and senior management, while contributing to the continued strengthening of governance, risk management, and internal control across the organization.

The position calls for a professional with sound judgment, independence, integrity, and the leadership capability to guide and strengthen the Internal Audit function in an evolving and strategically significant organization. Position Details

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate must meet fit and proper criteria as defined under Schedule-IV of the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023.

Required Qualification

The candidate must be a member of a recognized body of professional accountants:

• Qualified CA / CPA / ACMA / ACCA, or

• MBA (Finance) from a reputed local or international University/Institute.

Professional Experience Requirements

• Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 5 years of relevant experience in senior management or executive-level roles.

• Demonstrated expertise in:

  • Auditing and risk management

  • Designing internal control procedures

  • Effective compliance of financial reliability in public/private sector

  • Understanding of governance, risks, and controls, especially in SOEs or public sector projects

• Preference will be given to candidates having relevant experience in the power sector.

Age Limit

• Up to 57 years at the closing date of advertisement.

1. The appointment shall be made in accordance with the prescribed CMU guidelines and criteria applicable to C-Level positions in State Owned Enterprises (SOEs).

2. Candidates currently serving in Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous, or Public Sector organizations shall apply through the proper channel and submit a valid NOC from their respective department/organization, where applicable. Applications not fulfilling this requirement may not be considered.
