CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Position: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Power Information Technology Company (PITC), a key public sector entity under the Government of Pakistan, provides IT-based customer care services and technical support to Power Sector entities including DISCOs, GENCOs, and NTDC. PITC plays a central role in IT infrastructure development, project governance, and network establishment (WAN/LAN) for the power sector.

To further strengthen its cybersecurity capabilities, PITC is seeking the services of a high-caliber professional for the position of:

Reporting To:

Chief Executive Officer (CEO), PITC

Job Profile:

The CISO will be responsible for developing, leading, and executing the organization’s comprehensive information security strategy. The incumbent will ensure alignment with national cybersecurity regulations, government policies, and internationally recognized standards, while promoting a culture of information security awareness across PITC.

Academic Qualification:

Minimum Education: 16 years of education from an HEC-recognized university or internationally reputed institution in:

Cybersecurity

Information Security

Computer Science

Engineering (with emphasis on ICT)

Mandatory Professional Certification (at least one):

CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

CCISO (Certified Chief Information Security Officer)

CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)

PhD or equivalent in Information Security

Preferred Certifications:

CCSP, SANS SEC-540, ICS/SCADA 410

PCI-DSS

ISO 27001 or related ISO standards

Professional Experience:

For Master's Degree Holders:

Minimum 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience

3–5 years in a senior security leadership role

For Bachelor’s Degree Holders:

Minimum 10 years of relevant post-qualification experience

3–5 years in a senior security leadership role

Required Experience Areas:

Implementation and management of cybersecurity programs

At least one of the following:

Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC)

Security Operations Center (SOC)

Security Testing

Digital Forensics

Familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks such as:

GDPR, NIST, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, DORA

Relevant local cybersecurity regulations

Knowledge & Special Skills:

Deep knowledge of:

Cybersecurity governance, risk, compliance, and incident response

Cyber threats and emerging trends

Technical expertise in:

XDR, SIEM, SOAR, Threat Intelligence

NGFW, WAF, EDR, Pen Testing, Source Code Testing

Cloud Security Best Practices

Awareness of Generative AI security risks and mitigation methods

Strong:

Leadership and strategic thinking

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Interpersonal and communication abilities

Knowledge of national cybersecurity policy and international standards

Employment Terms:

Job Location: Lahore (with flexibility to serve anywhere in Pakistan)

Contract Duration: 3 years (extendable based on performance and organizational need)

Age Limit: Up to 55 years on the closing date

Remuneration: Competitive, market-based salary and benefits
