National Power Parks Management Company (Private) Limited (NPPMCL) is a public-sector entity with assets exceeding Rs. 500 billion and significant revenue streams. The company plays a pivotal role in Pakistan’s energy sector by generating 2,453 MW of electricity through its state-of-the-art combined-cycle power plants at:

Balloki, District Kasur (1,223 MW)

?? Position Overview

Job Title: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Location: NPPMCL Head Office, Lahore

Contract Type: Performance-based

Tenure: 3 Years (Extendable based on performance)

Age Limit: Maximum 58 Years (as of the closing date)

?? Role Purpose

The Chief Executive Officer will provide strategic leadership and operational direction, overseeing the company's power generation and management operations in alignment with its mission, goals, and the Government of Pakistan’s energy objectives.

??? Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage overall company operations including O&M of power plants.

Develop and execute corporate strategies to improve efficiency and performance.

Ensure proactive compliance with regulatory and governance frameworks.

Maintain effective coordination with:

Board of Directors

Ministry of Energy

NEPRA

CPPA-G

Other regulatory and government bodies

Oversee policy implementation and ensure timely reporting to the Board.

Monitor and control operational expenditures.

Mitigate financial, legal, and operational risks through effective risk management.

Develop and lead organizational HR strategies and capacity building.

?? Minimum Educational Qualification

The candidate must hold at least one of the following graduate degrees from an HEC-recognized institution:

Business Administration

Public Administration

Finance

Commerce

Marketing

Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics – PEC Registered)

Equivalent disciplines

OR

Be a member of a recognized professional accounting body (e.g., ICAP, ACCA, CIMA).

?? Minimum Experience Criteria

Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated senior management experience in one or more of the following fields:

Governance

Business Administration

Finance

Commerce

Marketing

Or any field relevant to the job

Experience may be considered from:

A well-known commercial or industrial organization

Similar level management position in a commercial/state-owned entity

Serving as a member of the governing body of a professional institution

Head of a department in a public/private sector entity

? Other Requirements

Must meet the Fit and Proper Criteria outlined in Schedule-IV of the State-Owned Enterprises (Governance and Operations) Act, 2023.

Should possess:

Strategic foresight and leadership

Regulatory acumen

Strong interpersonal, communication, team-building, and change management skills
