CAREER OPPORTUNITY: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CEO)

National Power Parks Management Company (Private) Limited (NPPMCL) is a leading and reliable state-owned power generation company. NPPMCL operates two state-of-the-art, high-efficiency Re-Gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG) based Combined Cycle Power Plants with a cumulative capacity of over 2400 MW (1223 MW at Haveli Bahadur Shah, Jhang and 1230 MW at Balloki, Kasur).

NPPMCL invites applications from exceptional, highly qualified, and dynamic professionals to lead the organization as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

POSITION OVERVIEW

The CEO shall oversee the Company’s entire power plant operations and corporate affairs. Key focus areas include:

• Strategic Leadership: Providing vision and driving operational and financial sustainability.

• Efficiency & Compliance: Introducing effective measures for operational excellence, reliability, and regulatory compliance.

• Stakeholder Management: Ensuring proactive engagement with the Government, regulators, and other key stakeholders.

• Governance: Upholding transparency, corporate accountability, and institutional integrity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Operations Management: Ensuring the smooth, safe, and optimal operation of the power plants in line with the government's energy policies.

2. Regulatory Compliance: Interfacing actively with NEPRA, CPPA-G, and third parties to ensure adherence to license conditions and commercial agreements.

3. Policy Implementation: Timely execution and implementation of policies, strategies, and directives received from the Board of Directors.

4. Risk Management: Proactively identifying and mitigating operational, financial, commercial, and legal risks to the Company.

5. HSE Compliance: Engineering a safe work environment by ensuring stringent Environment, Health, Safety, and Technical (EHST) standards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

The candidate must possess a degree from a reputable institution duly recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in any of the following disciplines:

• Business Administration / Public Administration

• Finance / Commerce / Marketing

• Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Mechatronics) — Must be registered with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC)

• Or an equivalent professional qualification.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of 10 to 15 years of progressive, post-qualification experience in senior management roles (including at least 10 years at a senior level).

• Proven track record in corporate governance, administration, commerce, marketing, or a related field within large-scale commercial or infrastructure organizations (power sector experience is highly desirable).

• Experience serving as a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Chief Operating Officer (COO), Head of a major department, or as a member of a governing board in a reputable organization.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS / TERMS & AGE

• Fit and Proper Criteria: The candidate must fully meet the "Fit and Proper Criteria" prescribed in Schedule-IV of the State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) / Public Sector Companies Guidelines.

• Skills: Exceptional leadership, strategic vision, team-building, and robust communication skills.

• Tenure: The selected candidate will be appointed on a performance-based contract for a term of three (03) years, extendable at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

• Maximum Age Limit: Maximum 58 years as of the closing date of applications.
