Position Announcement

Applications are invited for the following teaching position(s) from candidates with the prescribed pay scale and usual allowances as permissible under the Pakistan Study Centre's terms and conditions of service on Contract/Regularized as per Federal Government's policy regarding Defined Contributory Pension Scheme. The candidates must meet the HEC eligibility criteria as under:

Assistant Professor (Pakistan Studies) BPS-19 Two (02) Ph.D. in relevant field from HEC recognized University/Institution. No experience required. Minimum number of publications: NIL The successful candidates will be responsible for teaching BS, MA students and M.Phil. and Ph.D. scholars regularly and conduct research and publish work in HEC recognized journals.

Instructions for Applicants

  1. Application Form: To apply, please fill the mandatory job application form available in the office of the undersigned.

  2. Required Documents: Your application form must include:

    • A detailed resume

    • Two latest photographs

    • Duly attested photocopies of the certificates/degrees

    • Names and contacts of two professional referees (not relatives)

    • Equivalence of qualification by General Education Certificate (GEC) (in case of Foreign Degree)

    • Payment of PKR 3,000/- through Bank Challan available in the office of the undersigned

  3. Eligibility: Those applicants who strictly meet the criteria should apply. The completion of the final/required degree is mandatory.

  4. Publications: List of publications in HEC recognized journals.

  5. Government Employees: Candidates who are already serving in Government/Semi-Government and Autonomous bodies should apply through proper channels with NOC from their employer and should submit the same along with the application.

  6. Incomplete Applications: Late or incomplete applications shall not be considered. Therefore, all documents e.g., degrees, certificates, NOC, and referees should be submitted along with the application.

  7. Age Relaxation: Shall be given as per the Government rules.

  8. Shortlisting: Only shortlisted candidates who meet the criteria shall be contacted for a Demo/Written Test/Interview at the mailing address.

  9. TA/DA: No TA/DA shall be admissible for Demo/Written Test/Interview.

  10. Fake Data: Providing fake/fabricated data shall disqualify during/after hiring.
