Centre of Excellence in Gender Studies

VACANT POSITIONS ANNOUNCEMENT

The Centre of Excellence in Gender Studies at Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, is inviting applications from qualified individuals for the following faculty positions:

## Job Specifications

  • Position Title: Assistant Professor

  • Specialization: Gender/Women Studies and related disciplines

  • Scale/Nature of Post: BPS-19

  • Total Number of Posts: 02

  • Mandatory Requirement: A Ph.D. in Gender/Women's Studies or relevant disciplines from an HEC-recognized university/institution is absolutely mandatory.

## Application Fees & Processing

Applicants must submit an application processing fee based on their residency status:

  • Domestic Applicants: Rs. 2,000/- payable via Pay Order, Bank Draft, or Paid Challan.

    • Bank Details: Habib Bank Limited (HBL), QAU Branch, Account No. 02940012957103 (Drawn in favor of Director, Centre of Excellence in Gender Studies, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad).

  • Overseas Pakistani Applicants: US $100 (or equivalent) processing fee.

## How to Apply & Submission Package

Interested candidates must submit their application package within 30 days of the publication date of this advertisement.

Required Dossier Checklist:

Candidates must submit five (05) signed and bound hard copies of the application/dossier, along with a soft copy in PDF format on the prescribed proforma. The dossier must include attested copies of:

Important Note for Government Employees: Applicants currently working in Government, Semi-Government Organizations, Corporations, or Autonomous Bodies must apply through the proper channel and attach a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their current employer.

## Terms & Conditions

  • Pension Scheme: External candidates will not be eligible for a standard pension; instead, a contributory pension scheme will be applied as per the revised Federal Government of Pakistan policy.

  • Service Statutes: Selected candidates will be governed strictly by the Centre’s Service Statutes, rules, and regulations.

  • Selection Process: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted and called for a demo lecture/seminar and interview. No TA/DA will be provided for travel or lodging.

  • Incomplete/Late Applications: Applications that are incomplete or received after the official deadline will not be entertained under any circumstances.

  • Institutional Rights: The Centre reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of posts, withhold any appointment, or reject any application without providing a reason. The decision of the Centre remains final and binding.
