Hiring of Project Staff – URAAN Pakistan

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for appointment on a contract basis against the following positions under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) Project titled:

“Establishment of National Institute of Intelligence & Security Studies (NIISS)”
Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad

Available Positions

1. Project Director / Executive Engineer (PPS-9)

• No. of Posts: 01

• Maximum Age Limit: 63 years

• Qualification & Experience:

  • Option 1: M.Sc. in Civil Engineering from a recognized local or foreign university with a minimum of 12 years’ experience in building construction.

  • Option 2: B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from a recognized local or foreign university with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in building construction.

  • Additional Requirements:

    • Valid registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

    • Proven experience in execution of PSDP-funded projects, preferably in the university sector.

    • Comprehensive knowledge of PEC, PPRA, Planning Commission, Finance Division, and Project Management rules and regulations.

    • Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

    • Excellent organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

2. Assistant Executive Engineer (PPS-7)

• No. of Posts: 01

• Maximum Age Limit: 45 years

• Qualification & Experience:

  • B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a reputed firm, organization, or PSDP project.

  • Valid registration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).

3. Accountant (PPS-5)

• No. of Posts: 01

• Maximum Age Limit: 45 years

• Qualification & Experience:

  • B.Com degree with 5 years’ experience, or

  • SAS (or equivalent) with relevant experience in accounts and audit in a university, government, or semi-government institution, or PSDP project.

4. Computer Operator / WPO (PPS-4)

• No. of Posts: 01

• Maximum Age Limit: 45 years

• Qualification & Experience:

  • Matriculation with a minimum typing speed of 10,000 key depressions per hour.

  • At least 2 years’ experience operating key punch machines or computers.

5. Office Boy (PPS-1)

• No. of Posts: 01

• Qualification: Literate with good physique.

• Preference: Experience as Naib Qasid will be preferred.

General Instructions

1. All positions are purely on a contract basis under the Project Pay Scale (PPS) applicable to PSDP-funded projects.

2. The initial appointment will be for one year, extendable based on performance and project continuation.

3. Candidates already in government service must apply through proper channel.

4. Incomplete or late applications will not be entertained.

5. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for test/interview. No TA/DA will be admissible.

6. The eligibility of candidates regarding age, qualification, and experience will be determined as of the closing date of applications.

7. The Competent Authority reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
