HIRING OF FACULTY STAFF

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following position:

Qualification / Experience

Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree from an HEC-recognized national or international university in one of the following fields:

  • Intelligence & Security Studies

  • Security Studies

  • International Politics & Security Studies

  • Strategic Studies

  • International Relations (IR)

  • Peace and Conflict Studies

Instructions

  1. Government/Semi-Government Employees:
    Applicants working in Government, Semi-Government Organizations, Corporations, or Autonomous Bodies must apply through proper channel and submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer.

  2. Application Submission Requirements:
    Candidates applying for Assistant Professor must submit:

    • Three (03) hard copies of the application/dossier (properly bound)

    • One (01) soft copy of the dossier in PDF format (on prescribed proforma)

    • Attested copies of:

      • Degrees/Certificates

      • Experience Certificates

      • CNIC

      • Domicile

      • Two (02) recent passport-size photographs

    Additionally, applicants must submit:

    • A Pay Order/Bank Draft/Paid Challan of Rs. 2,000/- (for each position)

    • Drawn in favor of: Director, National Institute of Intelligence and Security Studies, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad

    Pakistani nationals applying from abroad must submit US $100 as an application fee.

  3. Deadline:
    All applications must reach the Office of the Acting Director, National Institute of Intelligence and Security Studies (NIISS), QAU, Islamabad within 15 days from the date of advertisement.

  4. Incomplete Applications:
    Applications incomplete in any respect will not be entertained.

  5. Email Submission:
    Applications may also be sent via email at: niiss@qau.edu.pk

    • Scanned testimonials may be emailed initially.

    • However, hard copies of the application and testimonials must also be sent by post.

  6. Service Rules:
    Selected candidates will be governed by the Institute’s Service Statutes, Rules, and Regulations (as amended from time to time).

  7. Special Package:
    The Selection Board reserves the right to offer a special package in addition to the basic pay scale.

  8. Right of the Institute:
    The Institute reserves the right to:

    • Increase or decrease the number of positions

    • Not fill any position

    • Withhold appointment against any advertised post

    • Accept or reject any application without assigning any reason

  9. Late Applications:
    Applications received after the due date will not be entertained under any circumstances.

  10. Document Listing:
    Candidates must properly enlist and sign the attached documents.

  11. Screening Process:

  • Only eligible candidates will undergo a screening process (Lecture/Seminar).

  • Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview before the Selection Board of NIISS.

  1. No TA/DA:
    No Travel Allowance (TA) or Daily Allowance (DA) will be admissible for lecture, seminar, or interview.
