Faculty Positions & Eligibility

1. Assistant Professor (BPS-19)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • PhD in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university/institution.

Disciplines / Subjects:

  • Computer Science

  • Mathematics

  • Statistics

  • Education

  • International Relations

  • Political Science

  • Journalism & Mass Communication

  • Pakistan Studies

  • Psychology

  • Environmental Sciences

  • Food Science & Technology


2. Lecturer (BPS-18)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • MS/MPhil/equivalent degree awarded after 18 years of education in the relevant field from an HEC-recognized university/institution

  • First division in the terminal degree, and no 3rd division in academic career

Exception:

  • The condition of no 3rd division does not apply if the candidate holds a PhD degree (or equivalent) and has an otherwise strong academic record.

Disciplines / Subjects:

Same as listed for Assistant Professor.

  4. Appointment Rules:

    • Fresh appointments will be under the Contributory Provident Fund (CP Fund) policy of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

    • Applicants already serving in pensionable positions may retain pension rights only if previously eligible.

  5. Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous Bodies:

    • Applicants must apply through proper channel and provide a NOC from their parent organization.

  6. HEC Notifications:
    Any clarifications or notifications by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), adopted through proper procedure, shall be applicable to this advertisement.

  7. Authenticity of Documents:

    • Only valid, authentic, and verifiable documents will be accepted.

    • Fake, forged, ambiguous, or misleading documents will result in rejection and possible legal action.

  8. Foreign Degrees:

    • Must be accompanied with an Equivalency Certificate from HEC or IBCC (where applicable).

  9. Non-English Documents:

    • Must include an officially verified English translation submitted before the closing date.

  10. Percentage Certificates:

  • If transcripts do not show percentage, an official percentage certificate from the Controller of Examinations must be provided.

  • For semester systems, CGPA 3.00/4.00 = First Division.

  1. Experience Certificates:

  • Will be accepted only if issued by the Registrar / Establishment Section / relevant authority.

  1. Research Publications:
    Applicants must provide:

  • Complete bibliographic details (title, authors, journal name, ISSN, volume, year).

  • Only publications recognized by HEC will be considered.

  • Publications with incomplete information will be rejected.

  1. Research Projects:

  • Provide valid award letters/verification signed by the Competent Authority (e.g., Principal Investigator).
