JOB OPPORTUNITIES – CPSP KARACHI

The College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), established in 1962, is the premier postgraduate medical institution in Pakistan. CPSP is seeking qualified, motivated, and professional individuals for the following positions at its Karachi campus.

AVAILABLE POSITIONS

1. Assistant Managing Editor

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the content of all CPSP journal publications.

  • Plan each journal issue according to publication timelines and editorial standards.

  • Review articles for quality, accuracy, clarity, structure, and compliance with CPSP standards.

  • Verify facts, clarify information, and provide editorial revisions where required.

  • Develop editorial content and coordinate with authors and reviewers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate in English, Journalism, or Mass Communication; preference for a Master’s degree in the same field.

  • Medical Graduates / Allied Health Sciences professionals with relevant experience may also apply.

  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office.

2. Assistant Editor

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate in English, preferably with a Master’s degree.

  • Relevant experience in medical journals is highly preferred.

  • Strong English writing skills with experience in editing and proofreading.

  • Good computer literacy.

3. Statistician

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review statistical analysis plans in synopses and research manuscripts.

  • Analyze data and recommend corrections based on study design and objectives.

  • Provide guidance and support to trainees on statistical queries.

Required Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. (Statistics) or Master of Science in Biostatistics & Epidemiology (MSBE).

  • Strong interest in medical research.

  • Hands-on experience with statistical software such as SPSS, Minitab, or SAS.

  • Relevant professional experience required.

4. Officer (Accounts & Finance)

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.

  • Relevant experience in Accounts and Finance operations.

  • Analytical skills with working knowledge of computerized MIS accounting systems.

5. Office Assistant

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate with relevant office experience.

  • Good computer skills and communication abilities.

  • Ability to assist with clerical, administrative, and documentation tasks.

6. Driver

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum Middle-pass qualification.

  • Valid HTV/LTV driving license.

  • Relevant professional driving experience required.

7. Security Guard

Required Qualifications:

  • Energetic and physically fit candidates.

  • Ability to read and write is required.

  • Preference for candidates with a licensed arm and experience in security services.
