Detailed Text Description

The Bank of Punjab (BOP), a leading financial institution with over 35 years of banking heritage and a nationwide network of 900+ branches, is seeking seasoned professionals for the key leadership role of Area Manager within its Consumer Banking Group. This position is available in Jauharabad and Wazirabad and falls under Grade Band-5 to Band-3.

The Area Manager will be the driving force behind the deposit growth strategy for the assigned area. The primary responsibility is to achieve monthly CASA (Current Account Savings Account) and Total Deposit targets, both at the individual branch level and across the entire area. This involves actively engaging with high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs) and corporate customers to deepen existing relationships and continuously expand the bank's customer base through targeted market tapping and client introductions.

A significant portion of the role is dedicated to operational excellence and risk management. The Area Manager must ensure strict compliance with the Bank's Operational Risk Management Policies, State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) guidelines, and internal PRs. Key duties include improving branch audit categories, implementing and reviewing the Daily Control Function Checklist (DCFC) and Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA), and designing smooth workflows to maintain operational efficiency. Furthermore, the role requires monitoring transaction turnaround times (TAT) to guarantee high customer satisfaction and ensuring the prompt and effective resolution of all customer complaints and inquiries.

Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must hold a minimum Bachelor's degree from an HEC-recognized university, possess 9 to 12 years of banking experience (with a strong preference for 5 years of relevant experience), and be under the age of 55 as of the application date.
