Job Opportunity: Advisor (MP-I Scale)

1. POSITION OVERVIEW

  • Job Title: Advisor (MP-I)

  • Number of Posts: One (1)

  • Reporting Location: Ministry of Railways, Islamabad (4th Floor, Block-D, Pak-Secretariat).

  • Nature of Duties: The Advisor will be primarily responsible for overseeing, supporting the implementation of, and providing policy advice regarding the technical affairs of the Pakistan Railways system.

  • Travel Requirement: The position requires frequent travelling all over Pakistan.

2. EMPLOYMENT TERMS & TENURE

  • Contract Type: Appointment will be made on a contract basis.

  • Initial Tenure: Three (03) years.

  • Extension: Extendable for a maximum period of two (02) years on an annual (yearly) basis, subject to satisfactory performance and approval by the relevant authority.

  • Regulatory Framework: Recruitment will be governed by the MP Scales Policy, 2020, along with subsequent updates and amendments issued by the Establishment Division and Finance Division.

3. REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

Candidates must fulfill one of the following criteria:

  • Option A (PhD Holders):

    • Qualification: Ph.D. in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, or an equivalent in a relevant subject.

    • Experience: Minimum of 07 years of professional experience in the relevant field.

  • Option B (Master's Degree Holders):

    • Qualification: Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Public Administration, or an equivalent in a relevant subject.

    • Experience: Minimum of 09 years of professional experience in the relevant field.

4. AGE LIMIT

  • Maximum Age: 62 years.
