Rechecking of IELTS Test (Enquiry on Results)

If a candidate is not satisfied with the IELTS band score, they have the option to apply for rechecking of their test. This process is officially called Enquiry on Results (EOR).

How to Apply for IELTS Rechecking in Pakistan?

1. Candidates must submit an EOR application form (available at the British Council or IDP office, as well as on their official websites).
2. The candidate is required to attach the original Test Report Form (TRF) along with the fee deposit slip.
3. The application must be submitted within 6 weeks (42 days) from the date of the test result announcement.
4. The rechecking request can be made for one section or the entire test (Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking).

IELTS Rechecking Fee

1. Candidates have to pay a rechecking fee at the time of application.
2. The fee is fully refunded if the band score changes after rechecking.

IELTS Rechecking Result Timeline

1. The rechecked result is usually issued within 2 to 6 weeks.
2. The updated result will be communicated to the candidate and, if applicable, the updated TRF will be issued.

Important Notes

1. Rechecking is done by senior examiners who are not involved in the initial marking.
2. There is no limit to how many sections can be rechecked, but the request must be made in one go.
