University of health sciences has postponed the MBBS and BDS examinations that were scheduled to commence in January 2021. The university has issued the notification and informed the students that the professional exams have been delayed till 1st February 2021. The authorities took this decision on the directives of the National Command and Operation center. Many students had also protested against the UHS on the social media platforms to hold the exams in the ongoing situation of coronavirus pandemic. #DelayAllProffsUHS started trending on Twitter and students calling on the university to not take the exams according to the announced schedule as it will put their health at risk due to the spread of the novel coronavirus. All the undergraduate and postgraduate theory and practical examinations including the professional exams of the final year delayed for about 12 days or so. 

Delay in Exams

The interprovincial minister's conference was held on 4th January 2021 to review the situation of the coronavirus. It was decided to reopen the educational institutes across the country in different phases from 18th January. Moreover, the board exams of matric and intermediate have been postponed to May and June. However, another meeting of all the provincial education ministers will be held on 14th January. So by monitoring the COVID-19 situation the university has declared to provide the new examination schedule for MBBS and BDS programs. 

Revised Exam Schedule

The vice-chancellor of the University of Health Sciences said that the new exam schedule for the MBBS and BDS will be announced soon. The students will be notified about the new dates for the annual exams after declaration by the concerned officials. The candidates are advised to prepare for the exams and meanwhile concentrate on the studies without wasting any time.
