Today while speaking to media the Vice Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences, UHS Lahore has revealed the important details regarding Medical and Dental College Admission Test, MDCAT. The VC has said that the MDCAT would be conducted by UHS. He said that there are students who appear as a repeater every year. Almost 30% repeaters appear every year and these are 15,000 to 20,000 in number. Although these students get admission to private medical colleges but they still have the wish to apply for public sector medical colleges because public sector colleges charge comparatively less tuition fees and they also provide good education standards.
Well, he addresses the government of Pakistan to take care of these students and brings a new policy according to this 30% of the students. However, he also assured that the UHS will conduct the MDCAT 2020 session with the same standard. However, he also reveals that if the pandemic would not be covered then the mode of conducting an exam may be changed or the schedule of the exam may be delayed. But, the university would be bound to conduct the exam in any way.
