UHS Announces MBBS &BDS Admissions In Government Medical and Dental Institutes Of Punjab

University of health sciences has announced MBBS and BDS admissions in the government medical and dental institutes of Punjab. Online application forms are invited from the eligible candidates for the medical admissions in the academic session 2020-21. The students who intend to apply can check the BDS eligibity criteria/ MBBS eligibility criteria, merit calculation, admission procedure, and the MBBS admission schedule that are mentioned below. 

Eligibility Criteria

• The applicants should have passed HSSC/FSc pre-medical or equivalent exams with at least 65% marks (715/1100). 
• The applicants must have secured at least 60% marks in the national medical and dental college admission test. The foreign and the overseas Pakistani that have 60% marks (120/200) in the SAT-II exam are also eligible to apply
• The applicants must hold the domicile of any district of Punjab. Candidates having the domicile of Islamabad can apply against the open merit seats.
• For foreign and overseas seats the candidates should have passed HSSC or equivalent 12th-grade qualification outside of Pakistan in order to meet the criteria of MBBS admission in Pakistan. 

Merit Calculation

The weightage criteria for the MBBS and BDS admissions are mentioned as follows

• SSC/Matriculation/Equivalent – 10%
• HSSC/FSc pre-medical/Equivalent – 40%
• MDCAT – 50%

Admission Procedure

The MBBS and BDS admission procedure for the candidates is stated below.

• The candidates are required to submit the online application form to apply to the government medical and dental college. No manual submitted application form will be accepted. 
• The candidates have to do the registration on the UHS web portal through the email ID.
• Enter the details such as name, marks, and upload the scanned copies of the attested documents.
• After the submission, the applicant will not be able to edit the application form. 
• The candidates have to submit the application processing fee of Rs. 500/- and bank service charges of Rs. 150/-  in any branch of bank of Punjab and fee is non-refundable. 
• Candidates are advised to enter the correct details and in the case of forged documents, the candidate will be debarred for admission for 7 years. 
• Candidates having foreign qualifications have to submit the equivalence certificate issued by the IBCC. 
• The incomplete and late submitted application forms will be rejected.
