UHS Announces Admission For Certificate in Medical Editing

The University of Health Sciences has announced the admission for the certificate in the Medical Editing (CME) and Advance Certificate in Medial Editing (ACME). The course contents of CME include different types of medical writing, peer review systems, ethics in publishing, copy editing, business models, and an open journal system. However, the course contents of ACME include rights and responsibilities of editors, retraction, indexing services, clinical trial registries, scientometrics, and legal issues with medical journalism The course fee of CME is Rs.40,000 and the course fee of ACME is Rs.50.000 that should be submitted at the start of the course.

Eligibility Criteria

Following is the eligibility criteria provided for CME and ACME.

For Certificate in Medical Editing: The candidates who have done MBBS/BDS or graduate in Allied Health Sciences, Pharmacy, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Health Informatics, etc are eligible to apply. The preference will be given to the candidates already attached with the health sciences journals as editor, assistant, managing editor, reviewer, editorial board members, etc. The candidates with the published papers will be also preferred.
For Advance Certificate in Medial Editing: Only those candidates are eligible who have successfully completed the Certificate in Medical Editing from the University of Health Sciences.

How To Apply?

The candidates have to download and fill the application form through the web portal of UHS. Afterward, the candidates are required to submit the application form by hand or post at the office of the focal person, University of Health Sciences. The contact sessions for both certificate in the Medical Editing (CME) and Advance Certificate in Medial Editing (ACME) will commence on 16th February 2022. The last date to apply in the offered courses is 31st January 2022.
