Youm-e-Takbeer is the most memorable day of Pakistan’s history because on this day Pakistan became the nuclear power. On May 28th, 1998 Pakistan made successful experiments of a nuclear weapon on Chaghi Hills. After getting success in these experiments Pakistan appeared as the seventh nuclear nation of the world and first Muslim nuclear power of the world. Pakistan developed a nuclear weapon against the Indian threat after the wars fought between Pakistan and India.

A Brief History Of The Event

It writes down that Pakistan has started its nuclear efforts during the 1950s. Pakistan government created the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, PAEC to start a nuclear program in 1956. In 1962, the government of the USA helped Pakistan by giving Pakistan, A Pakistan Atomic Research Reactor, the first reactor of Pakistan. In 1965, Ishrat Usmani, the chairman of PAEC founded the Pakistan Institute of Nuclear Sciences and Technology (PINSTECH). In 1965, an Indo-Pakistani war held which was a nominal victory of India. This incident made Pakistan make further efforts to be powerful.

However, in 1971, the war once again fought between India and Pakistan. Pakistan once again faced huge loss which was comprised of the separation of East Pakistan into Bangladesh and almost 100,000 Pakistani soldiers became prisoners. Actually, the war of 1971 was the main turning point that encouraged Pakistan to develop nuclear weapons to be protected against the threat of the enemy. In 1972, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto became the Prime Minister of Pakistan and initiated Pakistan’s nuclear program.

Dr. Abdul Kadeer Khan who is known as a founder of Nuclear weapon or nuclear Power returned to Pakistan in 1974 and established Khan Research Laboratories, KRL. Right from the establishment of this laboratory the experiments started to make a nuclear bomb. However, a lot of tests were made even the Chinese government also helped Pakistan a lot on testing Pakistan’s bombs. Finally on May 28th, 1998 The 10th Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif ordered to launch the nuclear weapon for testing purposes. The experiments were made at the place of Chaghi Hills I and these were the successful experiments. However, the second test was conducted on Chaghi Hills II which was also a successful experiment on behalf of which Pakistan became a nuclear power.

Right from the title of nuclear power or a nuclear country Pakistan made its boundaries more protected. There were many conflicts came to see between Pakistan and India but these conflicts did not lead towards war and the main reason behind it is that Pakistan secures itself as nuclear power or atomic power.

What Improvements Pakistan Makes to Be Strong

Right from the development of nuclear weapons, Pakistan has been celebrating this day. However, the day is celebrated as the “Youm-e-Takbeer” day. The whole of the nation comes to see with good spirits and encouragement on this day. The day makes Pakistani people proud of having nuclear power. Today, we do not feel heavy threats from across the world because of this nuclear weapon. However, after developing nuclear weapons Pakistan has also been making many other improvements to make its boundary lines protected. Besides atomic bombs or nuclear weapons, there are other heavy weapons or equipment are developed by Pakistan to protect the boundaries of Pakistan.

In order to make the land safe and protected Pakistan day after day bringing improvements in its weapon establishment. By the grace of Almighty Allah, Pakistan appears among the worlds’ top nuclear and atomic countries and the day is not so far when Pakistan is listed among the top developed and safest countries of the world.
