TEVTA decides to increase female enrollment in all courses

Lahore: On Tuesday, the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) has decided to increase the female enrollment in its all training courses.

This decision was taken at a meeting organized at TEVTA Secretariat.

The chairperson of TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh headed the meeting.

While speaking on the event, chairperson of TEVTA instructed the concerned officials to made essential arrangement to increase the female enrolment in TEVTA institutes.

"Presently the women are outperforming men in every walk of life and they are playing a very important role in industry development."

He furthermore ordered the officials to lessen the fee for evening classes.

Chairperson TEVTA told the meeting that various Chinese varsities were willing to help TEVTA to focus on technical courses for young generation to provide trained as well as skilled manpower for the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

For this purpose, the Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) will also establish stalls in a road show in China being organized by the Punjab government this month to appeal more Chinese investment.

He furthermore told the meeting that TEVTA will also share its trade knowledge at the road show.

He said that the authority will also sign numerous agreements along with the varsities in China in the financial and port handling courses, which will fulfill the requirement of CPEC projects as well as other market.

He further added that the TEVTA was finalizing its strategy for driving courses accompanied by the City Traffic Police Lahore.

"The 3 weeks course for the general public and a 2 month course for LTV and HTV license candidates will be organized in three institutes, including Government Technical College Raiwind Road, Government Technical College Mughalpura as well as Government Technical College Township," he concluded.
