The telecommunication company Telenor has officially started the Telenor Youth Forum 2017 (TYF) in Pakistan. This program by Telenor has been started for the talented youth of Pakistan who actually wish to make a difference in the world.

This providing program is providing an opportunity to the people between the ages of 20 and 28 to showcase their ideas to the rest of the world.

The Telenor Youth Forum has been started in association along with the Nobel Peace Center and is targeted to bring together the partakers from 13 international markets where Telenor operates.

These talented young leaders in the making will have to address the social issues along with the digital solutions. The delegates selected from all over the world would have one year together to come up along with a solution to a pre-assigned the social issues along with the team they have been placed in.

The teamwork is designed in a way that it would build awareness, understanding, as well as help the partakers engage along with other cultures and norms, together with the expectant result of building peace within their communities and worldwide.

The program started in early December 2016 in Oslo, Norway and will conclude just in time for the run up to the Nobel Peace Prize for 2017.

The participants meet physically just two times in the year and would have to work together via social media and other virtual forms of communication.

Though, at the end of the one year they are expected to have come up along with and deliver on the strategies they had for their projects.

After this they would work along with the Nobel Peace Center to start up an exhibition displaying their solution to the social issue that they were challenged along with.

Eligibility Criteria


1.       The candidate is required to be between the ages of 20 and 28 while applying for the program.

2.       Telenor Youth Forum is open to the residents from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Thailand, Sweden, India, Malaysia, Hungary, Denmark, Norway, Myanmar, Montenegro, and Serbia.

3.       The candidate should be presently registered in university or equivalent higher education institution.

4.       Fluent in spoken as well as written English

5.       Interested in searching the solutions to social issues in your community and internationally

6.       Have earlier undertaking, activism, or leadership experience.
