Lahore: The United Teachers Council (UTC) on Monday called off its protest against the School Education Department (SED) after the guarantees from the additional secretary of School Education Department.

According to the statement issued on Monday, Kashif Shahzad, a representative for the United Teachers Council said that the United Teachers Council representatives had a meeting along with the School Education Department Additional Secretary Muhammad Akhtar in which he had assured teachers union to fulfill their demands.
But, he further added that the ITU will hold a protest in case the demands are not fulfilled.
