Students of KPK to get free access to WIFI at campuses

Peshawar: Senior Minister for Information Technology (IT), Shahram Tarakai, has directed the administration of Information Technology department to complete all the basic arrangements to provide free Wi-Fi around the clock within the campuses that come under the locating system of their Open Wi-Fi project. This decision has been taken in the light of “Kyber Pakhtunkhwa Open WiFi” project, which involves accessibility to free and open Wi-Fi crosswise KPK.

Along with open Wifi, Shahram also gave feedback regarding various Information Technology plans introduced under KPK Information Technology Board. While heading the meeting, Senior Minister for Information Technology showed special interest in developing initiatives for youth employment in KPK.

While talking to media he said, “Confidence-building in youth is on the top of the priority list of the PTI-led provincial government because they are the future of our nation and the provincial government by itself is investing more and more on their empowerment.”

Shahram furthermore encouraged the administration to focus on youth-oriented projects.
