In Sindh, the approval has been given to issue the promotion policy and special marks sheet relevant to matriculation and intermediate exams for the year 2020.  This approval was given at a meeting of the chairmen, controllers and IT managers of all the Sindh education boards at the Hyderabad Board of Education on Thursday.

Promotion Policy For Matric and Intermediate Students of Sindh

In the meeting it was decided that the aspirants would be given marks in the second year according to the first year and this would be increased by 3 percent and the marks of the first year will be shown on the marks sheet whereas the subjects of the second year will not appear. However, if a student has failed in any of the subjects, then the marks will be displayed in front of the subject while passing the student as per the policy.

Passing Policy For Absent and Fail Students in 1st Year

According to the policy for the aspirants who failed or were absent in the first year, it was clarified that if a student fails in two papers, then the numbers of failed papers will be counted after calculating the average of pass subjects. However, if any student was absent or failed in more than two subjects, then he or she will be passed by giving 33 marks per paper.
