The Sindh Education Minister, Saeed Ghani announced to launch the mobile application from kindergarten to class 5. The application contains an e-book that will be accessible to teachers and students. He said that by considering the current situation of coronavirus pandemic when all educational institutes are forced to shut down this step is taken to facilitate the learning process of students
A New Way of Learning
According to him, the Sindh government will not allow the schools to reopen amid coronavirus consequences. He furthermore added that if we opened the school, the parents will feel hesitant to send their children to the school. For the safety of students, they must stay at home. To compensate for the study loss of the students Sindh Education and the Literary Department has developed the mobile educational app. Through this application, the students of kindergarten to class 5 will be able to continue their study schedule by this digital platform.
Online Lessons
The app has lessons for science, math, and all the other subjects, and lessons are available in Urdu, English, and Sindhi language. The SELD learning app can be downloaded from the play store of mobile. He said that we are well aware of the internet problems and this issue will be resolved soon so that students can take the lessons without facing any trouble. It is although difficult to provide the same learning experience as a school through this digital learning, but this is the only possible way to avoid the loss of the curriculum. He further added that lectures for the college students are also uploaded on the Youtube channel of the Sindh government. The students can take guidance from these lectures.
Previously Saeed Ghani announced that schools in the Sindh will remain closed for the next six months and the online curriculum will be provided to students.
