Shafqat Mehmood, the federal education minister, addresses the Inter Board Committee Of Chairman, IBCC to take actions against covering the progressive interruptions in the 2021 academic session from August onward. He also advises conducting the SSC and HSSC final examination sessions on time. According to the given instruction, the examination session will be conducted in May or June 2021.
The directives were given during the visit of the education minister to the Secretariat of IBCC in Islamabad. Wajiha Akram (Parliamentary Secretary Education), Farah Hamid Khan (Federal Secretary Education), and Mohyuddin Wani (Additional Secretary Education) accompanied the minister during this visit.
Implementations To Academic Progression
Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, The Secretary IBCC, inform the Education Minister about the IBCC's performances in proper functioning, activities, priorities, and future plans. Shafqat Mehmood also suggests the Secretary IBCC to consider conducting all the examinations with MCQs paper pattern and technology-based or online assessments. He also encouraged to bring a culture of analytical thinking and reasoning among the students and to eliminate rote learning. The Minister said that the high-achievers in SSC and HSSC should also be invited to Islamabad to meet with the Prime Minister and President of Pakistan.
Efforts Of IBCC
The Education Minister was informed by DR. Mallah that the online verification process for the equivalency of certificates and attestation of the certificates has also been initiated. However, a partnership has also been done with a courier company for collecting and returning the certificates to the places of the students. Dr. added that in order to remain the quality of the education system uncompromised the QR code has also been ensured on equivalency certificate. In the end, Dr. Mallah concluded that to increase the improvement and transparency in the services of IBCC the automation is bringing to all of its processes.
