Lahore: University of the Punjab has decided to get verified the record of the applicants applying for the registration along with the university from the National Database and Registration Authority for verification of documents about the identification submitted by the candidates.

For this purpose, the varsity has entered into an agreement along with NADRA and in this regard a ceremony was organized at the committee room of the Vice Chancellor's Office.

The vice chancellor of Punjab University Prof Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir, NADRA Public Service Directorate's Director General Fizah Shahid, Verifications Director Qasim Rizvi and Verisys team leader Asad Ali Bhatti were present on the occasion.

As per the signed agreement, the university will forward the documents entered by the aspirants to NADRA and the management will send the verification report just in few days.

The vice chancellor of Punjab University Dr Zafar Moeen Nasir said that the MoU was part of the vision of management to introduce digital reforms in university and replace the out-of-date existing system along with the advanced one.
