Punjab University Increases 16% in Admission Fee Of Bachelors and Masters Admission 2019

The University of Punjab has increased the registration fees, equivalence fees and verification fees of 55 classes including BA, BSc, B.Ed., B.Com, BS (honors), MA, MSc, M.Ed., LLM, M.Phil. and Ph.D. programs to the extent of 10 to 16%. Both regular and private affiliated colleges are supposed to be implemented with increased fee structure in 2019.

PU increased 16% in the admission fee for bachelors and masters courses

Punjab University is a public university and is a very famous center for higher studies. PU admission fees of BA (Part I/II) in 2018 was Rs.4,440 while now in 2019, it is Rs.5,000. On the other hand, PU admission fees of MA (Part I/II) in 2018 was Rs.5,130 while according to the latest information, it has been increased to Rs.5,650. Likewise BS (honors) programs’ fees also got revised in 2019 in Punjab University.

Why Punjab University increased 16% admission fee as compared to last year admissions of 2018?

Universities usually increase the fee structure because of taxation and also, to fulfill the needs of daily increasing modern technologies to be brought in the university. But sometimes increase in fee affects the admission rate of students if it is increased on higher levels. PU increases fee structure for bachelors and masters in 2019 which may have both positive and negative effects. Admission fee in Punjab University is submitted every year by every student which is right of the university and its faculty while students get quality education which is also a positive thing. Negative effects include the education deprivation of those students who cannot afford higher fees.
