Previously many teachers complained and blamed the government for the non- regularization of their services even after the contractual period. The School Education Department has finally stated its decision regarding the permanent recruitment of the teachers. Across the province Punjab it was demanded to regularize the teachers that have completed their contract period. The matter had been pending for many years by government officials. But now the issue is resolved as the teachers will be appointed permanent on their respective posts. It will also allow them to have an annual increment which is due in June 2020.
Punjab Regularization of Service Act
According to the Punjab Regularization of Service Act, the employees who have been serving for more than three years shall be eligible to appoint on a regular basis by considering the vacancy, qualification, and the other requirements. It is the right of an employee to become permanent after completing the specific period mentioned in the act.
Regularization of Female Subject Specialists
The provincial minister of Punjab for school education, Murad Raas has announced the regularization of the 106 Female Subject Specialists BS-17 of various subjects. These include Chemistry, Economics, Mathematics, Physical Education, Statistics, English, Urdu, Biology, psychology, and Islamiat. A proper procedure will be followed to fulfill all the formalities required for these posts.
Regularization of Female Head Mistresses
Apart from the female subject specialists, the School Education Department also regularized the 259 Female head mistresses in BS-17. These all employees have completed their contract period and now based on their performance and conduct they are becoming the permanent ones.
The School education department is struggling hard to facilitate the teacher’s fraternity so that they can put their efforts to secure the future of the nation by providing education to the students.
