Lahore: Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Wednesday has launched “Khadam-e-Punjab Zewar-e-Taleem Programme” in 16 districts of South Punjab under which the educational grants of worth Rs6 billion would be distributed every year among girl students and the program will benefit over 460,000 students.

Furthermore, it has also been decided to include the aspirants of madrassas in the laptop distribution scheme.

CM Punjab expressed these views at Aiwan-e-Iqbal while distributing Khidmat card among the female students.

He said that the upper classes are enjoying all the facilities however the poor people severely needed even basic facilities.

He added that the upper class should stop opposition of the programmes targeted at the welfare and development of the common people.

During his address he also said that in the state established by Quaid-e-Azam, the system based on injustice and cruelty by the upper class will have to be finished, or else, nobody can stop a revolution.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the elite class provided every possible resource for their children however they criticized the educational scholarships launched for the poor, and this thinking was disappointing.

HE also said that was not the state of elite; however it was the state of 20 million people living in Punjab, Sindh, KPK, Gilgit-Balistan and AJK.

To make this scholarship distribution program transparent, all the female students would be given scholarships through Khidmat cards.

These scholarships are targeted at ensuring school education of girls. These scholarships will be given to the female students with atleast 80 percent attendance. Through Khidmat cards girl aspirants will be given Rs1, 000 scholarships monthly.

Chief Minister of Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif during his address said "I advise the female students who will get these scholarships to move forward along with energy and vigour, and break the status quo to change the fate of Pakistan. End the culture of booty and threat, and all girl aspirants should work as a movement and reform the state according to the rules and aspiration of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Muhammad Iqbal."

He also added that if the daughters of the nation will armed themselves along with education, they will not need jewelry of gold and of silver.
