Punjab Education Minister Clarifies His statement Regarding Corona Test For Teachers

The Provincial Education Minister Dr Murad Raas took a U-turn on the matter of corona test for teachers, stating the corona test for all teachers before the school reopening was only a suggestion while the final decision regarding this issue is to be taken at the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference on September 7th, 2020. 

Brief Detail On Provincial Education Minister Press Conference 

In a press conference held on Wednesday, the Provincial Education Minister Dr. Murad Raas said that it was mandatory for all the teachers to submit a corona report before the educational institutes reopens. Each teacher was instructed to take the corona test on their own.

Teachers Union Reaction on Decision

The General Secretary Punjab of Teachers Union Rana Liaquat Ali had said that if the government does not conduct the tests on teachers at the government expenditures, the teachers will not enter schools however they will sit at the gate. The provincial education minister should take steps keeping in view the ground realities.
