Islamabad, The formation of FATA University at FR Kohat has been permitted by Caretaker Prime Minister Justice (retd) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso on Monday. The university is being established due to educational requirements for the people of FATA as there is no institution to impart education at higher level. The Prime Minister asked the President to accept the draft for setting up of FATA University at FR Kohat.
The Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) is a self-governing tribal area in northwestern Pakistan which links the boarders of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan to the east and south. It also links the provinces of Afghanistan like Kunar, Nangarhar, Paktia, Khost and Paktika to the west and north.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) has started internship program for the young professionals of Sindh, Punjab and KPK. Fresh candidates can apply for the program till May 31, 2013.

Fresh graduates of not more than 28 years of age, with Masters in Social Sciences or equivalent degree having interest in developing institutions of the poor for achieving community-driven-development can apply before Friday, May 31, 2013.
