Pakistani woman makes the first hand made Quran in the World

Karachi, A Pakistani woman has made a hand stitched version of the Holy Quran. Zamurd Khan, a Pashtun woman belonging to the Korangi, area of Karachi, has dedicated years of her life to complete this Holy Quran.

Along with this accomplishment, the Pashtun lady wishes to show her love for Islam and for the Holy Book.

Actually, it is the first time in the 1,400 year history of Islam that somebody has made a hand stitched version of the Holy book.

Zamurd divided the Holy Quran into 30 Siparas and worked on every chapter individually.

The pages of the hand stitched Holy Quran are made of cotton. All these pages are decorated along with a green border made of silk accompanied by the gold colored embroidery.

The same decoration has also been applied to every outer page of the Siparah.

The text on the Quran has been stitched along with the help of a green colored thread.

It took the 31 year old Zamurd almost seven years and six months to complete the handmade Holy Quran.

The complete handmade holy book (along with all 30 chapters) weighs almost 63 Kilo grams. This is partially because of the weight of the heavy embroidery as well as the other threads that were utilized to make it.

The handmade Holy Book is kept inside a storage box for safety.

Moreover, Zamurd stitched a verified Urdu translation of every Arabic phrase in the book.

Zamurd’s mother said that she is proud of the hardwork done by her daughter and her love for Allah.

She did not go to any marriage ceremony, family functions, parks or whatever that a common man would consider entertaining.

She had no interest in anything except completing this Holy Quran.
