Pakistan Engineering Council, PEC is offering Need-cum-merit based Scholarships to aspiring engineering students with underprivileged backgrounds. To facilitate more students PEC has extended the deadline for PEC 2020 scholarship application. All qualified and interested students can apply for scholarships until November 30th, 2020. Before this PEC has announced the deadline for scholarships until October 31st, 2020. The main objective to offer this scholarship is to encourage or facilitate the needy students from the backward areas of Pakistan to pursue their higher education in the engineering fields.
PEC Scholarship Awards
According to this program within 4 years 500 scholarships will be awarded to the students having domicile of the underprivileged areas (especially from the areas including Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Jammu, and Kashmir) and tribal areas (including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Punjab).
It is said by the officials that the selected candidate will get a scholarship award of 100,000-/ PKR yearly to cover the partial tuition fee, living expenses, and books expenditures, etc. The respective Higher Education Institutes partners to the PEC can also extend the additional support to their candidates who are enrolled in the institutes for the Fall-2020 academic session.
Who Is Eligible?
Applicants with the following qualities will be eligible for this announced PEC scholarships program:
• Applicants belonging to the above-designated areas are eligible to apply.
• Applicants who have secured their admissions in engineering studies at the undergraduate level of education to the higher education institutes that are accredited and approved by PEC.
How To Apply For PEC Scholarship
Applicants will submit a complete application form to the Secretary/Registrar, PEC Head Office at Ataturk Avenue through their respective universities.
