Order To Open Schools Of all Punjab Issued This Yesterday For Heads & Teaching Staff

Lahore: 18 May 2020, Government of the Punjab School Education Department had issued notification regarding opening of the schools in Punjab for two days in a week. The notification subjects measures to control outbreak of coronavirus pandemic in the country. The School Education Department of Government Of The Punjab referred the notification to all the deputy commissioners/ chairman, District registration Authorities of Punjab and all the chief executive officers, DAEs/ Secretary of Punjab.

On Monday the School Education Department made the announcement allowing the school to open for two days in a week. Only admin offices and the offices of District Education Authorities will be open for two days a week (Monday & Tuesday) with skeleton staff and administration.

According to circular the school will be opened in order to resolve administrative, budgetary and ancillary matters by observing the following SOP’s.

1. School opening timings shall be from 10:00 AM t 02:00 PM.
2. With head teacher, class-IV two persons, essentially required teachers (only two) and minister staff two persons only.
3. The staff dealing with the parents and visitors shall wear masks.
4. For social distancing circles with appropriate distance and social distancing should be ensured. Teachers and staff may be called for pay purposes only with one class per day schedules.
5. Soap and hand sanitizers must be provided.
6. Students should not be allowed to visit the school for any purpose
7. Washroom and other areas of school must be disinfected with chlorine solution on daily basis
   The SED has ordered to follow these instructions strictly
