MDCAT Exam for Admission to Medical and Dental Colleges in Punjab Conduct on October 26th, 2025

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) has officially proclaimed that the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) 2025 will take place on October 26th, 2025. This is an important test that is the entry point into the medical and dental colleges within the province. There are 50,458 candidates registered this year which is one of the highest participation rates in recent years. The exam will also be given in 12 key cities of Punjab, in the rigid control of UHS to bring about fairness, transparency, and discipline.

Thousands of medical students have been left in relief and focus by the announcement as they have been awaiting confirmation of the schedule. The MDCAT is not just a test of intellectual ability but also a milestone in the journey of those students whose merit is to take MBBS and BDS programs in the medical institutions of the state, either in the state or in the private sector.

Exam to Be Conducted Across 12 Cities with 26 Examination Centers

The MDCAT 2025 will be conducted in 12 cities in Punjab, Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan, Rawalpindi, Bahawalpur, Sargodha, D.G. Khan, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Rahim Yar Khan and Sheikhupura as per the official information. There are now 26 examination centers to serve the high number of candidates.

The Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department (SHC&ME) has instructed the Deputy Commissioners of all the 12 districts to make detailed preparations of the exam day. All centers will be highly vigilant, and the facilities like first aid, medical support and emergency response teams will be in place. The Rescue 1122, health department, Traffic police and NADRA among other law enforcers will be employed to ensure that the event is managed easily.

Strict Security Measures and Section 144 Implementation

To maintain maximum security and to eliminate all possibilities of misconduct the Punjab Home Department is sought to implement Section 144 around the examination centers during the day the test is being conducted. This will limit people interaction, use of mobile phones as well as regulating unauthorized movement around the test venues.

The Inspector General (IG) Punjab Police has also been formally asked to provide strict law and order in all centers. There will be the presence of security personnel in all examination locations and no unauthorized people will be allowed to enter the premises. Inside the examination halls, no use of mobile gadgets, Bluetooth gadgets, and smart watches will be permitted.

These actions indicate the collective effort of the government and UHS to ensure integrity of the MDCAT exam which has been facing allegations of leakage of papers and other issues of misconduct elsewhere.

Coordination Between Departments for Smooth Conduct of MDCAT 2025

The Specialized Healthcare Department has also given official instruction to the Higher Education Department (HED) and School Education Department (SED) regarding the dispatched examination staff besides security and logistics. The invigilators and supervisors will be experienced teachers and administrative personnel so that the examination process will go smoothly.

The district administrations have been advised to have alternative provisions of electricity, seating, and medical support. Rescue 1122 and district health officers will be available in case of emergencies and available during the entire exam. Also, traffic control measures will be put in place to prevent any congestion around the test centers, particularly in such a city as Lahore and Multan, where the volumes of candidates are large.

UHS Intensifies Final Preparations and Faculty Assignments

Under the leadership of Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore, the University of Health Sciences Lahore has heightened preparations to make sure the process of the examinations is transparent. UHS examination branch has also finalized print and secure transportation plan of question papers where security clearance of all examination personnel is also underway.

The entire preparations are being personally monitored by professor Rathore who has also held various coordination meetings with health, education and law enforcement officials departments. The elderly faculty members have been designated special duties of supervision, invigilation and real time monitoring of the exam. Another control room will also be set up by the UHS to be in operation during the exam day to solve problems and communicate between the districts instantly.

Commitment to Transparency and Fair Evaluation

The most important concern of UHS and Punjab government is transparency. The whole procedure such as paper setting, compiling of results will be carried out under stringent guidelines. UHS has highlighted the fact that no examination material will be accessed by an unauthorized individual, and all data will be encrypted to be guaranteed security.

Applicants have been requested to carry their CNIC or B-form, admit card and stationeries only. They also have to be in their respective centers early enough before time to eliminate any hitches caused by security checks.

MCAT 2025 results are likely to be released in a matter of weeks after the exam and then the process of MBBS and BDS admissions in the medical and dental colleges of Punjab would begin.
