FPSC Postpones Interviews Scheduled from October 7 to 11, 2025 — New Dates to Be Announced Soon

The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has officially announced the postponement of several scheduled interviews under Interview Program Nos. 106/2025 (Gilgit), 103/2025 (Islamabad), and 105/2025 (Islamabad) due to administrative reasons. The circular, issued by the Programme Management Directorate (PMD) on October 6, 2025, details the affected interview programs and assures candidates that revised dates will be communicated soon.

According to the official notification (F.4-1-1/2025-PM), the postponement affects interviews that were scheduled between October 7 and October 11, 2025, primarily at the Gilgit and Islamabad centres. The FPSC clarified that interview programs at other regional centres will continue without any changes.

Details of the Postponed Interviews

Interview Programme No. 106/2025 (Gilgit)

The interviews in Gilgit, originally planned from October 7 to October 11, 2025, have been postponed. These interviews were primarily for various teaching and administrative positions in the Education Department Gilgit-Baltistan, Health Department GB, and Population Welfare Department GB.

Below are some of the key posts affected:

  • Trained Graduate Teacher (Male) (BS-16) — Education Department, Gilgit-Baltistan

  • Oriental Teacher (Male) (BS-16) — Education Department, GB

  • Head Nurse / Matron / Principal / Vice Principal / Nursing Instructor (BS-17) — Health Department, GB

  • District Population Welfare Officer (BS-17) — Population Welfare Department, GB

  • Lady Medical Officer (BS-17) — Social Welfare, Women Development, and Child Rights Department, GB

  • Subject Specialist (Male) (BS-17) — Education Department, GB, in Physics and Chemistry

The postponed sessions were supposed to host over 60 candidates, including both teaching and medical posts. The interviews were scheduled across five days, from Tuesday to Saturday.

Interview Programme No. 103/2025 (Islamabad)

Interviews for Inspector (BS-16) positions in the Airports Security Force (ASF) were set to take place on October 9, 2025, at 9:30 AM at the Islamabad Centre. A total of 15 candidates were to appear for these interviews. Additionally, a few personal hearings of “Any Other Case” were also on the agenda.

The FPSC has now postponed this entire session until further notice.

Interview Programme No. 105/2025 (Islamabad)

This program included high-profile positions in the Planning, Development & Special Initiatives Division, Federal Government Educational Institutions (FGEI), and other departments. The interviews were planned for October 9, 2025, at the Islamabad centre.

The postponed posts include:

  • Research Officer / Planning Officer / Survey Officer (BS-17) — Economists Group

  • Lecturer (Female) (BS-17) — Zoology, Federal Government Educational Institutions (Cantt/Garrison Colleges)

The session also included personal hearings for:

  • Inspector (Investigation) (BS-16) — Federal Investigation Agency (FIA)

  • Lecturer/Instructor (BS-17) — Military College Murree

Each of these sessions involved multiple candidates, with a total of 397 interviews in progress under case F.4-167/2023-R (Lecturer Zoology).

Reason for Postponement

The FPSC circular clearly states that the decision to postpone the interviews was made due to administrative reasons. However, no specific reason was disclosed in the notification. The commission assured candidates that the revised interview schedule will be announced in due course and that candidates will be informed individually through official communication channels.

What Will Continue as Planned

The FPSC emphasized that all other interview programs at centres besides Gilgit and Islamabad will proceed as per the original schedule. Only the interviews mentioned under programs 106/2025, 103/2025, and 105/2025 have been postponed.

This clarification ensures that candidates appearing in other cities need not worry about any disruptions.
