Lahore: Lahore High Court on Tuesday has passed a temporary order to reopen the sub-campus of Bahauddin Zakaria University in Lahore, along with the orders to the managements not to do more admissions.

A full bench lead by the Justice Syed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi took up the petitions filed by numerous aspirants against non-issuance of degrees.

The bench furthermore ordered the CEO of the sub-campus Munir Bhatti, to appear before the court on the next hearing and submit the affirmation.

During the hearing, the vice chancellors of Bahauddin Zakariya University appeared before the court and submitted the overall record of aspirants. 

The officials of Higher Education Commission and High Education Department told the bench that the management of the sub-campus was ready to offer its campus for the classes of the aspirants. 

Earlier, the students via their counsels said that they cannot go to Multan to attend classes.  At this, the court observed that it will protect the rights of the students as well as their future. A law officer notified the bench that BZU syndicate had suspended the notification of the sub-campus and it did not banned the sub-campus permanent.

Upon this, the bench ordered to reopen the campus for those aspirants who had already been studying there and stopped the management from more admissions. The court has postponed hearing till April 6th, 2017.
