Inter-Board Committee of Chairmen To Issue Equivalence Certificates To A-Levels Students

Federal education minister, Shafqat Mahmood has announced the IBCC will issue the equivalence certificates to the students of A-levels before the 19th January 2021. The minister said that directives have been issued to IBBC to provide the certificates to all the students on time so that they can apply in the public & private medical and dental colleges to get admission in the MBBS or BDS. The authorities have ensured to provide the equivalence certificates before the admission deadline announced by the Pakistan medical commission. The certificate is necessary for the students of Cambridge and other international boards to get the admission offered by the institutes of Pakistan. Without it, foreign qualified candidates remain ineligible to secure admission in Pakistani educational institutes. 

Result of A-levels

According to the Cambridge assessment international education, the result of students of the A-levels will be announced on 11th January 2021. After the result declaration, the candidates of the A-levels can also apply for MBBS and BDS courses. Previously the date of the closure of the medical admission was 8th January 2021 but due to the delay in the result of the A-levels, the PMC officials had declared the new admission schedule so that the students having the foreign qualification can also apply in the admissions offered by the medical and dental colleges of Pakistan. 

Schedule For MBBS and BDS Admission

Earlier the Pakistan medical commission had announced the admission schedule of MBBS and BDS degree programs. The candidates are advised to follow the schedule as mentioned by the commission. The closure date of applications for the private colleges is 19th January 2021. In the public medical and dental colleges, the students can submit the application forms by 22nd January 2021. The merit list of the private medical and dental colleges will be displayed on the 24th of January 2021.
