PMC Announces New Schedule For Admission In Public And Private Medical Colleges

Pakistan medical commission has announced the new schedule for admission in the public and private medical colleges. Previously the PMC had shared the schedule and as per the schedule, the date for the closure of admission was 8th January 2021. But later on, the officials had changed the admission schedule due to the delay in the results of A-level. The Cambridge assessment international education has not declared the result of the candidates. The CAIE will announce the result on 11th January 2021. To facilitate the students of A-level the PMC took this decision as it will accommodate the results of foreign HSSC exams. 

New Schedule For Admission

According to the new schedule issued by the Pakistan medical commission, the late date to submit the admission forms for the private medical and dental colleges is 19th January 2021. The date of the closure for admission in the private medical and dental colleges is 22nd January 2021. The students are informed that the merit list for the private medical colleges will be announced on 24th January 2021. The candidates are required to follow the mentioned schedule provided by the concerned authorities. 

Paper Checking Process

After the declaration of the MDCAT 2020 result, the PMC had announced that the students can submit the applications for the rechecking free of cost. Many students had submitted the forms to the authorities and complained about the paper checking process. To give clarification the PMC had explained the process of checking. According to the sources, 14 questions were asked out of the syllabus and the PMC had graded the students on the basis of 186 questions rather than 200. The PMC president had earlier shared the details of the MDCAT questions and stated that the test was made as per the syllabus, although some questions were made difficult to determine the eligibility of the candidates to study MBBS or BDS. So by considering the performance of the students many students had performed well in the medical entrance exam.
