Inter board committee of chairmen has announced to digitize the records of all the educational boards as per the directives issued by the federal education minister, Shafqat Mahmood. The main objective of this project is to facilitate the students so that they can attest their documents easily. Through the automation system, the students can avail the attestation and equivalence services in a hassle-free manner. Earlier the Shafqat Mahmood had proposed to digitize the records in the meeting held with the secretary of IBCC and executive director of the national information technology board. Due to the manual procedure for the attestation of the degree, the students have to go through a long and hectic procedure. So to overcome this issue the education minister had stated an alternative for the students.
Digitization Process
Later on, in the follow-up meeting, all the officials had agreed to create the central repository of data of the educational boards of different provinces of Pakistan at the IBCC. The plan will be carried out in numerous phases. In the first phase BISE Karachi, BISE Quetta, BISE Peshawar, BISE Lahore, and FBISE will add their data. In the second phase, the national information technology board will support the process of digitization so that the manual data of all the boards can be added to the central repository at IBCC. For the successful execution of this project, the NITB has ensured to provide complete assistance.
Formation Of E-Portals
The e-office services will be provided to the secretariat and regional offices of IBCC by the NITB for the automation of all the internal processes. Later on, the data of all the boards will be associated with the e-portals of IBCC for the purpose of attestation and equivalence. In this regard, the national information technology board will also aid in designing the software and create central banks of questions for all the educational boards to promote conceptual learning and eliminate the cramming system.
