The higher education commission of Pakistan has taken a big decision regarding the private examination. HEC has imposed a complete ban on the exams conducted privately at the graduate level. Previously the authorities decided to eliminate the two-year degree programs such as BA and MA. Now as per the latest policy the students that appear in the public universities as a private candidate will not be able to give the examinations. 

No Exams For Private Candidates 

From the academic year 2021, the universities will not conduct the annual examination for the private students. Only the regular students will be registered and appeared under the supervision of the university. Moreover, candidates of affiliated colleges will be also considered eligible to give the annual exams. 

Open And Distant Learning Policy

According to the HEC authorities, the Allama Iqbal Open University and Virtual University will be only permitted to conduct the examination at the graduation level for the students.These both universities will organize and regulate the exams by open and distant learning policy. However, in November, HEC will also release the open and distant learning policy for the other public universities. From the next year, universities have to enroll the candidates as the regular students for the examination of the associate degree programs.
