Sargodha: Higher Education commission of Pakistan has issued No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Bhakkar and Mianwali sub campuses of University of Sargodha.
As per the initial reports, these sub campuses of varsity passed test of recognition process by the higher education commission.
These sub campuses of university were established in 2012 along with the own resources of university amounting to Rs 500 million each.
The present strength of aspirants of Bhakkar campus is 3,207 along with the 49 faculty members comprising of 12 PhDs whereas the Mianwali campus is offering education as well as providing its research facilities to 3,487 aspirants along with the 46 faculty members also including 12 PhDs.

Earlier, higher education commission had granted conditional NOC for Bhakkar Campus along with the orders to address the quality issues whereas the sub campus of Mianwali was not granted the No Objection Letter because of the deficiencies in infrastructural facilities as well as shortage of faculty shortage, the report said.
The main concern of HEC was that the previous university management had stated programs in different departments without the demanded number of faculty members as well as the relevant facilities.
As result, the quality of education was compromised seriously as observed by the higher education commission of Pakistan.
Soon after Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad has joined the university as the Vice Chancellor, the quality issues have been addressed seriously to meet deficiencies as highlighted earlier by the team of higher education commission.

During the first stage, the faculty recruitment procedure has been completed by organizing the selection board for recruiting senior faculty members as per the given orders by higher education commission.
