Islamabad: The government has decided to expand the number of higher educational institutions in the country under Higher Education Commission (HEC) Vision 2025.

As per the given details by the official’s sources, more than Rs 35 billion have been allotted for this reason during the next fiscal year.

Under the plan, 150 affiliated community colleges would be set up in every district across the country to produce skilled human resource, while fifteen new research varsities would be set up, offering innovative programmes in technologies, medicine, agriculture, communication as well as allied health professions.

The plan envisions the establishment of over 100 smart campuses of various government sector universities in underdeveloped areas.

The sub-campuses of FATA University in all the agencies are also part of the all-inclusive plan.
